Community Impact Team
The Health District partners with various community organizations and agencies to tackle the most critical public health issues in northern Larimer County.
The Community Impact Team (CIT) coordinates most of these partnerships for the Health District.
In collaboration with other individuals and organizations, the Community Impact Team seeks long-term solutions to some of the most challenging health issues facing our community. The Health District works with community partners to change the way systems and policies address mental health and substance use in our community. The Health District believes that a community conversation about the public health crisis of addiction is not just the best medicine—it’s our best investment. Therefore, we have supported the development and implementation of the Changing Minds Larimer campaign to decrease stigma and increase knowledge about substance use disorders.
The CIT also provides administrative and operational support for the Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) Alliance, which is a collaborative group of organizations and individuals dedicated to improving behavioral health care.
In 2024, the MHSU Alliance turned 25 and released a new strategic plan. Take a look at their plan for the future.
